The Great Lakes Literary Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in late 2023. Our mission is to foster our literary community through writing workshops and new publishing opportunities. First initiatives include hosting a new monthly writers workshop, developing community programming to support underserved writers, and creating new publishing opportunities for writers in our region, which in turn creates a unique new contemporary literary overview of the diversity of our geographic region.

āIām reminded that our Elders are our greatest resource, embodying culture, and community. Their stories connect us to our language, medicines, land, Clans, songs, and traditions. They are a bridge between the Before and the Now, guiding those of us who will carry on in the Future.ā
